Collection: Rosi Feist

German artist Rosi Feist studied Media Art & Design at the Bauhaus University Weimar. Most of his projects were developed under the guidance of Professor Christine Hill, a New York/Berlin artist, at the Chair of Media, Trend & Public Appearance. Many of his motifs are inspired by photographs taken by his wife during their trips to the USA. These photos often feature scenes from abandoned motels, desert cacti, secluded service stations, and everyday objects that are brought into the spotlight, showcasing the beauty in the ordinary and forgotten. Rosi Feist has a deep affection for the trivial; he finds inspiration in the simplest things, like a garden chair or a rubbish bin. His artistic approach focuses on reducing his subjects to simple areas, often using beautiful pastel colors combined in different layers, allowing him to transform the mundane into visually captivating works of art.
