Collection: Garima Dhawan

Garima Dhawan is an Indian surface designer and licensing artist, and an alumna of RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) US. She currently lives in UK with her husband and two kids. Her work is a combination of traditional printmaking techniques integrated with digital technology, to create a dialogue between the two worlds. She loves the beauty of the printed mark and the technique of collage. For her it represents taking things apart and putting them together in a completely new way. She constantly observes nature as her inspiration, as a field of infinite potential and unlimited possibilities. Her favourite artist is Matisse. Her images start as experiments with a combination of printmaking techniques like silkscreen, photolithography, gelli printing, and then collated digitally in Photoshop to create art for the wall, furniture, bed and bath, home decor and lifestyle products. Her determination is to create bold, beautiful forms filled with light, space, laughter, breath, courage, dance, peace and stillness that brings happiness into people's lives and spaces.
